To provide individuals of all age groups the wisdom of
ancient scriptures, and the practical means for spiritual,

enabling them to become positive contributors to society.
Introduction:
In Sanskrit, the word 'Gu' means darkness, 'ru' means
remover. 'Guru' means someone who enlightens you and is also
a friend, philosopher and guide. 'Kul' means home or a
school for learning. Gurukul Learning Centre is a unique
school for all age groups that includes both faith-based and
modern-day academic knowledge to enable the overall
development of students. The courses to be conducted at the
Gurukul have been broadly divided into three age groups and

Indian classical music and dance as well as personality
development programs. It is our aim to teach students the
importance of prayer, moral values and to inculcate in them
a reverence for our ancient culture. We would endeavor to
create in them virtues of self-confidence, respect and true
affection for all fellow human beings. Gurukul would also
identify, cultivate and nurture the hidden talents of the
students. Tutoring in subjects based on Educational
Curriculum would help students excel in their academic
pursuits. It is Gurukul’s intention to give our growing
children a healthier intellectual and physical climate,
where they can grow with noble ideals, healthy emotions and
physical discipline. Special classes on yoga and meditation
for both youngsters and adults would be conducted in both
English as well as Tamil. |
